Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

1.) It came with instructions in the box. Just one page front and back, but you won't need anything more. The seller deserves some credit for responding to customer feedback in this regard.
2.) It comes with "tools", but your assembly will go much smoother if you have a ratchet and socket set. All the hardware I needed was there, with extra nuts and washers.
3.) The bolt holes are aligned; but a rubber mallet will go a LONG way in getting the bolts through properly. Keep the assembly loose until all bolts are in place, then tighten them.
4.) You will need a hammock that has spreader bars. Brazilian hammocks are designed to sag a lot, and need much higher hitch points.
5.) The box shipped quickly (Amazon Prime here), and is small enough and light enough not to require special delivery or pick-up.
6.) I didn't find it too difficult to assemble by myself (I'm a scrawny 6'2" 29 yo male, if it helps.)
Looks great. Feels very sturdy. Holds a hammock.

Looks great. Feels very sturdy. Holds a hammock.
Assemble the base by inserting and tightening (not completely!) the four bolts and castellated nuts w/washers. Leave a little slack for now. Install the two bow beams, one at a time; the holes are aligned very well though a little tapping on the bolt head helps ease things through. Snug it all down now (including base!) and you're done with the frame. Put in the eye-bolts that support the hammock, install hammock of your choice and enjoy.
May have subtracted a *Star* for the wood and finish being 'okay', but it's going outdoors, after all, and not in the foyer as a presentation piece. Sturdy and looks nice on the deck.
The wood is not particularly high quality, but this isnt a dining room table; i would expect one year of pacific northwest weather to have a far more significant impact on the overall look of the thing than the nicks and scars it came with from the manufacturing process. The important thing is that once the bolts were cinched tight, this thing was sturdy, silent, and solid.
Assembly is a bit of a challenge because the pieces are heavy and need to he held “just so” in order to line up the bolt-holes of (in a few areas) 3 separate heavy beams cantilevered at subtle angles due to the curves. Recommendations: (1) enlist an assistant to help hold things in place (2) carefully consider where you need a washer, from which side to insert thr bolt, etc— its a b!tch to undo when you have it assembled wrong (3) use a good socket wrench and dont just rely on the cheap tools included (though in a pinch you could do it with the tools Included alone).
Some feedback:
--my instructructions were SUPER clear that the bevelled side of the legs had to point inward (some other folks had complained about that). But be sure to do that!
--the countersunk holes should point OUTWARD
--they give you two of the bolt-tighteners. Use them BOTH! My one big mistake was using a wrench to hold one side of the bolt and just using one of the bolt-tighteners to tighten the other...that went slowly and didn't tighten things up enough. When I started using both, it went super fast!
--the rubber mallet (not included but I have one) was a help when I needed to whack things into place, but I don't think you absolutely NEED it.
Overall, it's exactly what I wanted, fits the space perfectly, and didn't require a PhD in mechanical engineering to put together.
Also note that the hammock is NOT included, and that you really should plan to use a spreader one (the instructions say it doesn't work as well with the non-spreader kind). I hope your experience is as good as mine!
